A lot of what I like to call ‘Old Schol Rave Techno’ is made up of solid hard hitting drums and incredibly infectios simplistic hooks. This course will show you that simplicity is beauty. Taking you through techniques to turn any drum sounds into distorted monsters that cut the shit out of all the other sounds in the track to lay an insanely sharp simple foundation. You’ll also learn the concept of creating very simplistic hooks and running with them. The use of subtle FX to create some twists and turns from the original loop and also using the same sounds from the hook to marry up more layers that’s congruent to your signature hook.

Congruence derived from the core sounds is something that’s widely overlooked and it’s incredibly easy once you’re shown the techniques. Sometimes you’ll be sat there thinking ‘What The F***’ to do with your bomb of a steaming loop. There’s a tastly little nugget in this course that you can not only use to embellish your main leads but it can also be used on literally any other element in your tracks.
